At every stage of our lives, we sometimes think that we are merely actors, reading a script that someone else has written. That belief that others are controlling our lives is usually the beginning of feelings of hopelessness and often leads to depression. When you begin to think of yourself as an actor on some imaginary stage, you need to take an appraisal of yourself and where you are at in your life and why you are thinking of yourself as an actor. First of all, consider the role of the actor. He reads a script that is written by a writer and is told how to address the audience by his director.

Think about your own personal life and why you lifestyle is making you think that you are an actor. Do you know who the writer is of your life. Have you had discussions with your director? If your lifestyle is healthy and you are happy, you may not need to be thinking about making changes in the writer of your lifestyle or to discuss presentations with your director.

But if your lifestyle is out of control, if you are sad, if you are on a self destructive road that has not come to an end yet because you can still think about your life, you can make changes in your lifestyle by discovering who the writer is of your life and making him re write your part. You can also talk to the director and tell him that you are ready for a change of presentation.

Making lifestyle changes simply means to take control of those people who are giving you parts that are not healhy or conducive to your happiness. You are, actually, not on a stage. Unlike an actor if your writer has you eating unhealthy foods or taking drugs and alcohol, you will not have the opportunity like an actor to come off the stage and get about your regular life. Making lifestyle changes is to take hold of reality and start by breaking off the delusions that you are just an actor.
