The triceps muscle is the muscle located on the back of your arm above the elbow and below the shoulder. It is one of the largest muscles on the arm and gives someone’s arms a strong looking shape. Because of this, many strength training programs spend a lot of time focusing on the triceps. Unlike many other muscle groups, many triceps exercises can be completed at home without the use of equipment or weights.

One triceps exercise that can be completed at home is the triceps pushup. To do this exercise, you need to lie on your left side. Then using your right arm, you should attempt to push yourself up until your arm is fully extended. Do up to twelve repetitions and then switch sides.

Another triceps exercise which can be completed at home is the triceps chair dip. To do this exercise, all you will need is a sturdy chair or couch. To perform this exercise you will want to place both of your hands on the chair behind you and fully extend your body. Your hips and legs should be off the ground with your feet in front of you. To perform the exercise you will then want to slowly lower yourself before pushing yourself back up. Complete at least 10 repetitions of this exercise.

Another simple at home exercise are triceps extensions. This exercise requires you to hold your arms straight above your head and then bend your elbow backwards until your arm forms a 90 degrees angle before re-extending your arm.
