Seven Key Points for your Fitness Routine part 1

by Jack Kenefick on March 2, 2010

Any personal trainer will tell you that staying fit is about a lifestyle choice. Choosing an active lifestyle means understanding how your body works and how to achieve results. That being said, this article will explain how you can incorporate fitness into even the most ordinary parts of your life. Keeping in mind these 7 key steps to achieve fitness, you can achieve success with this mini exercise program.

1.) Movement Preparation
Understanding this process is crucial for your success in achieving that toned, attractive body. This process involves a relief of the stress your body incurs every single day. If you sit at an office for nine hours a day, chances are you experience stiff joints or weak leg muscles. With movement preparation, you can release tension in your hips, activate weak muscles, and develop a wide range of motion.

2.) Prehabilitation
Have you ever heard the phrase, “Prehabilitation to avoid rehabilitation!” It’s so true. Through prehabilitation, you can avoid setback injuries like a torn ACL or torn meniscus. Taking care of your joints includes consuming the right nutritious foods and keeping your joints moisturized. You can also do warm-ups before intensive workout sessions. Also, try to work on your resiliency before every major workout with an external rotator.

3) Core Stability
This is the “yoga” part of the exercise program and will help you achieve physical and even mental strength. Core stability can be achieved through direct training rather than indirect work. You can gain a solid foundation with more than ab crunches by using dumbbells and medicine balls.
